YOUR GUIDE

Specific to this procedure.

YOUR PLAN

Follow your personal instructions.

YOUR TEAM

Call if something is unclear.

This overview helps you find your way. Read the complete instructions above and follow the personal guidance from your surgical team.

The first 24 hours

Avoid rinsing and spitting. Use gauze pressure as directed for bleeding and keep activity low. Choose foods requiring no chewing.

Cleaning and eating

After 24 hours, brush while avoiding extraction sites and rinse lightly as directed. Start a soft-chew diet the day after surgery. Wait five full days before using the supplied syringe for lower extraction sites.

What to expect

Swelling may worsen during the first three days; use the guide’s ice and elevation advice. Read the restrictions on straws, smoking, carbonation, and heavy activity.

Your prescriptions

Use the medication plan supplied for you. The official guide contains an adult pain regimen that may change with health history; do not alter it from a summary.
